Imlil is the starting point to climb the Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (13 671 ft above sea level), the village of Imlil is located at 1700 meters (5 577 ft) of altitude and only at one and a half hour drive from Marrakech. You may not be ready to climb its 13 671 feet yet (the hike up and down takes 2 to 3 days from Imlil)
Don’t worry: Imlil and your local English-speaking guide offer you beautiful hikes suitable for any level of fitness.
The surroundings of Imlil are a real paradise on earth with its orchards of cashew nuts, cherry trees, raspberries, elderberries, apple trees and fig trees which supply the local Berber market of Asni on Saturdays.
The local waterfalls, half an hour’s walk from the village, in the shade of the hazelnut trees, beyond the Kasbah of Toubkal, are also a highlight of the visit. After a good hike, we will quickly go to another beautiful valley called Valley de Sidi Fares, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch and benefit an incredible view.
Our favorite moment by far is lunch in a Berber house. You will be able to see how the locals live. Return to Marrakech around 4pm. It is recommended to do it on the second or third day in Marrakech, all year round
